In her room…

I’ve shot some new #virtualsessions over the last few weeks, but my most recent shoot with Madison stands out as an example of what you can accomplish with remote / virtual photography.

Virtual means DISTANCED photography.

To respect COVID19 social bubbles and guidelines, we had our photo session while each being in our respective homes, many kms apart, using mobile devices to create images remotely. Yep, it’s true.

Metro Vancouver BC model Madison Rice did her own hair and makeup, and styled her wardrobe based on a creative moodboard we discussed prior to our session.

Taking advantage of the rare, sunny weather we had for our shoot day, we opted to use the beautiful, natural light pouring into her bedroom as our main light source. Madison used her iPhone 12 Pro (in Langley BC) and I used my iPhone 12 Pro Max (45 minutes away in North Delta). We spent an hour finding the best spots in her sun-filled bedroom, me giving her directions on lighting, wardrobe styling and the best posing angles for her device; the end result was the creation of some great new content for both of our social media feeds.

This shoot turned out SO WELL in fact, that after posting a sneak peek on IG I was contacted by a publisher about running the photos in their magazine in the coming weeks. Since the publication hasn’t been released yet, I’m only able to share a few sneak peeks and I just couldn’t wait to share the great results this session produced. Let me know what you think!
